This is a strategic retreat. Our form of combat is to shelter-in-place. I am a believer, but I won’t attend church services until the authorities lift the ban on gathering. To me, it’s not a matter of faith, it is common sense. For those who would defy the ban on public gathering to congregate in the name of the Lord make a foolish mistake. Would you walk up to a masked gunman and tell him that your God will protect you?!

Our Lord once said, “render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s.” This means, give Caesar what is his, as constituted by his laws. Follow the law of the land. This is not about your individual faith, nor is it about the collective faith of those you worship with. I respect your faith, but public safety is important. And, as I understand it, the “Church” is not a building. It is a body of believers.

Do you worship the church, the faith, your pastor, or God? In fact, He appointed/promoted/allowed those in positions of authority over us. Some of us have now put the authorities in the position of leaving the “flock” to go after some that have left.

Have your service at home this year, Jesus will meet you there. Obedience is greater than sacrifice.
